Margaret Mary ‘Margie’ Lyons, retired secretary

Margaret Mary "Margie" Lyons, 83, of Seaford passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 18, 2019. She was born in New York, N.Y., Dec. 2, 1935, daughter of the late Cyril and Frances Howard.

Mrs. Lyons moved to Seaford in 2005 from Annapolis, Md., where she made her career as a secretary for ARINC Research Corp., retiring after more than 25 years. She loved to travel and go on cruises, but her favorite places to visit were the local casinos and Las Vegas. Above all else, Mrs. Lyons valued her time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lyons, and her brother, Joe Howard.  She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Ralph L. All of Seaford; two nephews: William and Joseph Howard, both of New York; one niece, Janet Robinson of Florida; and numerous dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Lyons’ name to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.

Arrangements are private and being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville.
